Velas Resorts knows the hospitality industry like no other and, more importantly, knows the value and role of travel agents.
To that end, the company has an ambitious three-tiered plan to reward agents who book their clients with one of Velas' five resort properties ranging from Puerto Vallarta to the Riviera Maya.
The resorts include Velas Vallarta, Casa Velas, Grand Velas Nayarit, Grand Velas Riviera Maya, Grand Velas Los Cabos. The three tiers are Expert Agent (3-49 room nights); Master Agent (50 room nights); and Elite Agent (75 room nights).
The Expert Agent must book 3-49 room nights and become a certified expert in the hotel it wants to sell. Benefits to the agent include a certification kit, 2,000 points, a one-day pass, and a Velas Experts anniversary gift.
The Master Agent needs to reserve 50 room nights and be a certified expert in all five Velas resorts. Benefits include all the ones that pertain to the Expert level benefits, as well as 2,000 more additional points, a bonus payment with a pre-paid VISA card, access to specialized segment certification (weddings, groups and conventions) and a checkbook with special amenities for customers.
The Elite Agent includes everything in the Master level by booking 75 room nights, as well 3,500 additional points and a checkbook with special amenities for customers.
Points are accumulated depending on resort. Velas Vallarta earns an Expert Agent 500 points, 600 for the Master Level and 700 for Elite. It's 600/700/800 at Casa Velas, and 750/850/950 at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, Grand Velas Riviera Maya and Grand Velas Los Cabos.
