After graduating with a degree in Early Childhood Education, Velia Kennedy immediately shifted to selling engineering software globally for 10 years. While working part-time for a travel agency, she earned recognition as a top performer before launching Modern Family Travel, following encouragement from clients and peers. She started coaching new travel agents to help bridge the gap when she left her corporate job and went full-time travel. She now has 27 agents and just launched another branch of her travel agency, MFT Destination Weddings.
Kennedy turned 34 in May.
