The Family Travel Association (FTA), the nonprofit association for travel professionals specializing in family travel, saw a major increase in membership growth among travel agents in 2025.
The FTA saw a 33.7 percent increase in travel advisor members in 2025, and it expects that increase to exceed 50 percent this year. The FTA provides dedicated tools, resources, education and certifications for travel advisors, suppliers and travel media.
The increased interest in learning about family travel aligns with the 2025 U.S. Family Travel Survey, which FTA conducted in a partnership with Good Housekeeping and the NYU School of Professional Studies Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality. According to the study, 92 percent of Americans plan to travel with their children or grandchildren within the next year, the highest level recorded since the pandemic.
To further support the association’s growing membership, it has launched a new Host Agency level of membership, providing host agency advisors with family-friendly certification, education, and research to support their clients.
The organization also hosts live webinars and in-person events for networking and education, such as the Family Travel Association Retreat.
