Tourism Exchange Japan has announced the launch of Japan
Travel Trade Portal (JTTP), an innovative B2B sales platform designed to
directly connect international
travel professionals with high-quality Japanese accommodations and
experiences.
Japan’s lesser-known regional destinations offer travelers
the experience of staying in authentic places in lieu of high-volume areas such
as Tokyo and Kyoto. However, language, distribution or operational constraints can
pose booking challenges, issues the new JTTP platform can overcome.
Connected to four major Connected Booking Systems (CBS) in
Japan, the platform provides access to 20,000+ accommodations, with an initial
focus on high-demand ryokans in major onsen towns and key sightseeing areas.
For more remote regions like Kii Peninsula and Niigata Prefecture—rich in local
culture, traditions and unique
travel opportunities—this means their most distinctive properties can now
be sold globally with ease.
Key features of the platform include:
- 13% Commission Structure: To maximize
profit margins with competitive NET pricing
- Live Inventory Access: Provides real-time
availability and instant booking confirmations
- Expanding Network: To grow the portfolio
of distinctive regional accommodations
- Multilingual Interface: Available in
English, French, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese, with
automatic translation makes Japanese-only properties accessible to
international agents
- Direct Invoicing: Provides streamlined
billing with suppliers invoicing travel companies directly
- Special Requirements Support: Includes
dietary needs (vegan, vegetarian) and accessibility options
- End-to-End Platform: Provides complete
booking, cancellation, and billing management in one system
Other aspects of the platform include support for dietary
needs, assistance with tailored experiences and transparent commission
structures.
The platform will progressively expand with activities and
experience programs and new regions including Hokuriku, Mt. Fuji area, Nagano,
the internationally acclaimed Setouchi region, Kyushu and Okinawa, and other
distinctive destinations showcasing Japan's diverse regional character.
