Consortia X travel advisors are promoting a casting call for the upcoming documentary series I Do, In Destination, offering one couple a filmed destination wedding at a luxury Caribbean resort.

The lucky couple will have their wedding hosted at Paradisus Cancun or Paradisus Palma Real this June. A complimentary six-night stay for the couple is included along with on site transportation. Flights are not included, and their wedding guests will not be covered as part of the contest either.

As part of the casting process, couples must submit a two- to three-minute video detailing their love story and why they are well suited for the show. Applications close on February 19.

The travel agency who helps bring the couple to the production team will be given the opportunity to support guest travel and be part of the filming experience.

Travel agencies within Consortia X are leveraging the opportunity not only to identify a couple for the show, but also to promote romance travel and generate new client interest.

“For Consortia X advisors, the opportunity extends far beyond a single couple selection,” said Amy Proost, chief sales and ops. officer at NextTrip. “By promoting the casting call across social media and client networks, advisors are able to spark new conversations around romance travel—connecting with engaged couples, honeymoon planners, and families seeking meaningful celebration experiences abroad.”

Victoria Fricke of VicsVacations has fully jumped into promoting the campaign through social media, building a site for submissions and traveling to Paradisus Palma Real to capture content on location - something she said is paying off.

"I found out about the idea last Thursday," Fricke said. "I immediately knew I wanted to fly to the Dominican to film at Paradisus Palma Real in hopes of good engaging content. Saturday morning my wedding coordinator and I were on a flight to begin the project. A prime example of diving all in on a marketing idea that I hope I can pull off. While finding the couple would be incredible, my focus is equally on the marketing opportunity to find couples interested in romance travel. They might be interested in a destination wedding that I can consult and support in a more "traditional way" or I might find couples who our agency can support in honeymoon travel when that time comes! To do that, I've created a landing page website for applications to be submitted through and I'll focus on a drip campaign after the couple has been chosen. It's been exciting seeing the application process work, we already have 6 applications and it's been up for 36 hours"

A key element to this initiative is the role of Mitch Toren, owner of TripGuy.com. The opportunity to lead the search for the right couple was brought directly to him, but instead of keeping it for himself, he chose to share the campaign with the rest of Consortia X.

The move emphasizes community engagement over competition and allows the consortium to come together on a unique marketing initiative.

“Consortia X is built on the idea of collaboration — not just among our advisor community, but also in how we partner with suppliers,” said Toren. “When this opportunity came up, it simply made sense to share it across the entire network. Three hundred engaged advisors working together can generate far more visibility and impact than any single team alone, delivering significant and meaningful promotional support to our partners.”

The show, hosted by Ben Higgins from The Bachelor, will be produced by Journy TV in collaboration with NextTrip.

"Whether the featured couple ultimately emerges from their audience or not, the broader objective remains clear: leverage the visibility of I Do, In Destination to inspire future destination weddings, honeymoons, and celebration travel bookings," Proost said. "In doing so, Consortia X advisors are demonstrating how modern travel professionals can merge media, storytelling, and community collaboration to create new pathways for growth—turning a single documentary opportunity into a long-term romance-travel marketing engine."
