Vacation rental marketplace Whimstay has launched its Travel Agent Program to reward advisors with 10 percent commission on new bookings.
The all-new platform is designed to help travel advisors earn commission on vacation rental bookings across its robust portfolio of properties throughout North America, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe.
Users will have access to a dedicated booking portal where they can search vacation homes, share trackable property links with clients and even complete reservations directly on their behalf.
Whimstay's inventory includes many of the same accommodations available on Airbnb and Vrbo.
Travel advisors can apply to join the program at join.whimstay.com/travel-agents. Once approved, users can book for their clients or share a trackable link so they can book themselves. In either case, the reservation is attributed to the advisor, so they are compensated for their work.
"Travel advisors are already helping clients find vacation homes every day, but historically there hasn't been a clear way for them to earn commission on those bookings," Whimstay founder and CEO Ben Jamshahi said in a statement. "We built this program so agents can access the same types of properties their clients are requesting and finally be compensated for the role they play in the booking process."
