A new fare sale from airberlin is hoping to take the sting out of tax day. The new fare specials are good for both business and economy class. Economy class fares start from $689 from New York to Copenhagen; $749 from Chicago to Gdansk, Krakow or Warsaw; $799 from Miami to Moscow; or $949 from Los Angeles to Vienna or Salzburg for example. Many other destinations are also offered including Barcelona, Budapest, Rome and Zurich. The sale's booking period runs through April 20 for travel through May 15 and again from Aug. 24 through Oct. 26 for shoulder season and from May 16 through June 30 for high season.
In business class, the sale fares include New York to Moscow from $2,099; Chicago to Helsinki for $2,599; Miami to Moscow from $2,699; or Los Angeles to Copenhagen from $3,252. The applicable travel period for the business class sale is from June 27 through Aug. 29 from New York, Chicago or Los Angeles and from June 27 through Sept. 26 from Miami.
airberlin flies to 150 destinations worldwide and carried more than 31.7 million passengers in 2014. The airline's newly appointed CEO Stefan Pichler is putting his "2016 Turnaround Plan" into practice and as part of that plan will keep the airline front of mind with travelers by using the most competitive pricing. The sale fares emphasize the multi-hub nature of the carrier; they're not just to Berlin or Dusseldorf. Pichler is targeting profitability by the spring of 2016. Call 866-266-5588.
