It’s hardly any secret that travel is a costly proposition in 2026. The war in Iran has played a major role in that reality, creating a global shortage of fuel that drove up flight prices.
And even with the war ending, it remains unclear when, or if, prices will come back down. Numerous reports have indicated in fact, that prices are likely to stay high as airlines focus on rebuilding their margins rather than reversing any recent price hikes.
Amid this reality, Americans have been busy looking for ways to cut costs in order to afford a vacation. The good news, however, is that there still may be some budget-friendly flights to be had, according to a new report from Dollar Flight Club. And the bargains include flights to some of the most vacation-worthy destinations in the United States, including national parks, beach locations and iconic American cities.
Though it may seem to good to be true, according to the Dollar Flight Club analysis, it’s possible to score tickets as low as $45 roundtrip to some very popular locations, including Phoenix, Arizona, which happens to be conveniently located near the iconic Grand Canyon National Park.
Similarly, if a visit to Rocky Mountain National Park is on your radar, the prices may be more affordable than you think. According to Dollar Flight Club, it’s possible to score tickets to nearby Denver, Colorado for as low as $65 roundtrip.
These bargain prices are based on a recent Dollar Flight Club analysis of summer airfare now through August across more than 65 U.S. departure airports. All of the fares identified are based on the lowest roundtrip economy tickets. Here’s a closer look at the full list of bargain destinations the Dollar Flight Club analysis turned up.
