Delta Air Lines announced it will operate four additional round-trip flights between the U.S. and Europe in anticipation of two marquee NFL matchups taking place overseas in November.
With the Atlanta Falcons set to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Spain, the carrier will add two additional nonstop flights from Atlanta to Madrid on November 4 and November 5, with return service on November 9.
Delta is also introducing two additional nonstop flights from Detroit to Munich departing November 11 and returning November 16, to assist Detroit Lions fans heading to Germany to cheer on their team against the New England Patriots.
All four flights will be operated on Delta's Airbus A330 aircraft, the carrier confirmed.
"There’s nothing like the energy of fans traveling across the Atlantic to rally behind their team, and we’re excited to help make those journeys unforgettable. With these added flights to Madrid and Munich, customers can enjoy a premium, elevated travel experience from takeoff to touchdown, arriving ready to celebrate, connect and be part of an incredible atmosphere abroad," Delta's Vice President of International Network Planning, Jeff Arinder, said in a statement.
