Delta Air Lines announced the opening of a second Delta Sky
Club at New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Located at Terminal 4 near Gate A7, the nearly
14,000-square-foot Delta Sky Club will boast more than 250 guests and a covered
Sky Deck. It will operate alongside Delta’s first club location on Terminal 4,
Concourse B, bringing the total guest capacity to over 800.
The airline’s design team took inspiration from New York
City, adding a fireplace lounge that provides a cozy ambiance and a tucked-away
nook with lush green seating that provides privacy.
A signature, 360-degree premium bar is the new Delta Sky
Club centerpiece.
“This new Club is beautifully designed and packed with
special details that reflect the magic of New York City,” Delta Sky Club Managing
Director Claude Roussel said. “But much more important than that, it’s a place
where our people can deliver Delta Sky Club’s signature hospitality, making
each guest feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they step inside.”
At the new Delta Sky Club, the airline’s Local Flavor
program will feature the work of Elyssa Heller, founder and CEO of Edith’s
Eatery & Grocery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The authentic eats will be highlighted
in the club through the end of September.
For travelers looking to enjoy the new club, Delta will
offer more than 230 daily departures to 95 destinations from JKF Airport,
including its most extensive trans-Atlantic schedule ever from NYC, with more
than 230 weekly departures to destinations such as Geneva and London-Gatwick.
