Delta Air Lines and LATAM have officially marked four years as partners in a joint venture that links two of the largest networks in North and South America.
The partnership has seen significant growth since it launched in October 2022, with new routes, increases in capacity, and reciprocal loyalty benefits for travelers.
The statistics behind those accomplishments illustrate the partnership’s success. Through July 2026, the two carriers jointly operated 83,000 flights with 20.8 million seats.
They have flown 17.4 million customers across the alliance’s 10 countries in North and South America.
The airlines' combined capacity also increased by about 31% in 2026 compared with 2023.
“Over the past four years, our Joint Venture with LATAM has continued to grow and evolve, strengthening connections between North and South America,” said Alex Antilla, Delta’s vice president of Latin American and the Caribbean. “The increase in capacity, together with the expansion of our network and the benefits available to our customers, demonstrates the value of working together to provide more options and an increasingly connected travel experience.”
The airlines’ partnership currently includes 28 routes. Among the new city pairs that have launched under the venture are convenient flights like São Paulo-Los Angeles, Bogotá-Orlando, Guayaquil-New York, Buenos Aires-Miami, Atlanta-Cartagena, Rio de Janeiro-New York/JFK, and more.
“The Joint Venture has enabled us to offer customers access to more destinations and stronger connectivity by bringing together two highly complementary networks,” said Ramiro Alfonsin, chief commercial officer of LATAM Airlines Group. “Customers are recognizing the value of that proposition: since the partnership launched, the share of passengers who would recommend traveling with LATAM and Delta has increased by 50%.”
Members of each airline’s loyalty program can also earn points and miles on flights operated by either airline and access reciprocal benefits like priority check-in and boarding, seat selection, upgraded baggage handling, and lounge access.
