Air travelers departing from two of America’s most popular hubs can now add a major dose of glamor to their airport experience.
Two swanky new private terminals from company PS have opened in Dallas-Fort Worth and Miami, offering exclusive perks.
Travelers who make a reservation to enter the new terminals can take advantage of private TSA and custom checkpoints, elegant lounges and secluded suites, gourmet food and drinks, wellness amenities, and transport across the tarmac straight to their waiting plane.
The biggest draw, apart from the calm and relaxing atmosphere, might be the stylish buildings themselves.
At Miami International Airport (MIA), the PS private terminal is housed inside the historic former Pan Am headquarters, which has been carefully restored to its Jet Age glory by preservation architects.
The plush new facility at Dallas-Fort Worth International airport measures 12,200 square feet and features a lounge outfitted with a striking 40-foot bar.
Both locations offer an upscale experience at two different price levels.
The Salon is a shared lounge that offers semi-private TSA and customs areas, as well as complimentary cocktails and bites. The spaces are lavishly designed with features like glittering chandeliers and bold color palettes.
The Private Suite is an ultra-exclusive experience with total privacy. Guests in the private suite get their very own TSA and customs checkpoint, personal BMW chauffeur to and from the aircraft, and chef-prepared meals and cocktails.
Certain membership levels for the Private Suite offer added benefits, like complimentary spa services and access to spa showers.
With all of those amenities, travelers should be prepared to splurge. Reservations start at $895 per person, per visit for travelers who purchase a membership with PS, although membership isn’t required.
With the two new openings, PS has grown its network of private terminals in the United States to a total of four locations. It also operates private terminals in Atlanta and Los Angeles.
