Sir Richard Branson and his cruise line, Virgin Voyages, recently surprised all adult SkyMiles Members onboard a Delta Air Lines flight with a free cruise onboard the Resilient Lady, which will port out of San Juan, Puerto Rico for the first time later this year.
Virgin Voyages took over the departure gate at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The entertainment team performed their original choreography, while specialty drinks were passed around. A roulette wheel offers an opportunity for prizes for customers and passersby, awarding them with free flights on both Delta and Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Hotel stays, a Virgin Voyages cruise, a Delta Vacations gift card and more.
Resilient Lady will begin homeporting from San Juan this fall following its transatlantic journey from Europe. The ship will sail 7-11-night voyages visiting new ports of call in St. Maarten, St. Vincent, Colombia and Dominica.
“The Caribbean has been my home for many years, and I’m very excited to welcome Resilient Lady as she sails from San Juan to visit the region’s most beautiful destinations,” said Sir Richard Branson. “My excitement clearly couldn’t be contained, so we came up with a way to celebrate with a personal invitation and surprise for some unsuspecting guests on a Delta flight to San Juan."
