Southwest
air travelers cannot only choose their own assigned seat these days, but can
now fly with a friend for free.
The budget airline has brought back its beloved,
popular Companion Pass for a limited time, giving customers, new or long-time
Rapid Rewards Members access to the many benefits of its award-winning loyalty program.
The Companion Pass promotion allows Rapid Rewards Members to
designate one person to fly with them for free each time the member purchases
or redeems points for
a flight.
To qualify, Rapid Rewards members must log-in to the
Southwest site and register for the promotion and purchase a Southwest flight.
The flight must include one round trip or two one-way qualifying flights from
February 2 through February 6, 2026, and travel by March 31, 2026, and designate
a companion to fly for free with them between August 10, 2026, and October 7,
2026.
