United Airlines will be adding over 100 new flights to cities in the U.S. and Canada for its historic summer season, including to destinations like Anchorage, Fairbanks, Calgary, Vancouver and more.
The airline, which previously announced its new nonstop Alaska route between Washington, D.C. and Anchorage in its year-end financial report and 2024 projections, is flying its largest schedule to Alaska in the past decade.
There will be 10 daily flights to Alaska this summer, with a new nonstop flight from Washington, D.C. to Anchorage and a flight to Fairbanks from Denver, both beginning May 23.
United is also expanding flights to Canada with over 150 daily flights between the U.S. and Canada, increased by its partnership with Air Canada. Flights between Halifax-Newark/New York, Vancouver-Washington, D.C., Winnipeg-Denver and Chicago to both Winnipeg and Quebec City resume in May.
The airline has also expanded its current offerings to Toronto, Calgary and Ottawa.
Additionally, United’s Denver and Houston hubs both have over 40 new North American flights for the summer, while Washington, D.C. and Chicago will have over 20, with many routes connecting to destinations known for their national parks and natural beauty, such as Bozeman, Montana.
"We know people want to get outdoors this summer and United is making it easier than ever to get to fun destinations across North America," said Patrick Quayle, United's Senior Vice President of Network Planning and Alliances. "From adding non-stop service to places previously only reachable through multiple connections to leveraging our relationships with airline partners like Air Canada, we're giving customers lots of options to unlock new experiences."
