The change of seasons doesn’t mean much when it comes to Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.
It’s still busy.
In fact, for the month of July, it’s the busiest airport in the world, according to the Official Airport Guide (OAG). The home of Delta Air Lines was the only airport with more than 5 million seats scheduled for July.
Five of the 10 busiest airports in the month of July were located in the United States.
They were Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles and Chicago O’Hare. None of the aforementioned airports had less than 3.9 million seats available for the month. That was in Chicago; Atlanta had more than 5 million seats available.
Internationally, Doha led the way and was second worldwide behind Atlanta with a little more than 4.9 million seats available.
Tokyo International in Haneda was in third place slightly ahead of Dallas.
London, Istanbul and Guangzhou, China were also on the list.
