Low-cost airline Allegiant announced Tuesday it had added five new nonstop routes just in time for summer vacation.
In order to entice passengers to travel the United States with the carrier, Allegiant is celebrating the new service by offering one-way fares on the routes for as low as $49. To take advantage of the low prices, customers must purchase their flights by April 4 for travel by August 13.
The first two new routes flown by Allegiant will be to Jacksonville International Airport from Louisville International Airport starting on June 8 and Norfolk International Airport on June 14, with prices for both services starting at $49.
“We're excited to announce these five new routes to some of the country's most exciting destinations,” Allegiant senior vice president Lukas Johnson said in a statement. “These new routes will allow passengers to have even more options with convenient, nonstop, affordable flights for a great summer getaway.”
Allegiant will also initiate flights from Myrtle Beach International Airport to Kansas City International Airport starting on June 8 with fares as low as $49. The low-cost airline will operate flights from Nashville International Airport to St. Pete–Clearwater International Airport and Syracuse Hancock International Airport beginning June 14.
Allegiant offers a unique option to travelers with low-base fares and savings on rental cars and hotels.
