It's time to make those summer travel plans.
For a different take on summer vacation, consider trekking up north to lovely Canada. Yes, you can still even hit the beach in Canada!
Book with Air Canada for the best rates to tour one or multiple cities.
From stunning scenery to big city fun, there's so much to do in these great Canadian destinations.
Toronto
Canada's most-populous city, Toronto can definitely compete against the major metropolises in the United States. If the big city is what you love, Toronto should absolutely be on your Canadian travel list.
Marvel at the big skyscrapers all while enjoying a city full of the arts, shopping, food and plenty of entertainment. Visit Toronto's Old Town district to see historic buildings for a glimpse into the past. Head to the Distillery District and The Annex district to do some shopping before you enjoy fine dining for dinner.
Montreal
Home to the Air Canada headquarters, Montreal is also a terrific destination for anyone who loves the city life. It's also one of the most diverse cities in the world, with a mix of old-world European flavor and modern liveliness.
Montreal is a stylish, hip city with a blend of French and English residents as well as visitors from all over the world. Visit during the Montreal Jazz Festival in late June, early July if you're a lover of music.
Stop by the Underground City for access to stellar shopping and restaurants, as well as great nightlife scene. The history lovers out there will want to stroll past the many ancient buildings in Old Montreal, some dating as far back as the 17th-century.
Vancouver
Do you love the outdoors? Vancouver is perfect for exploring nature.
Put your boots on and go for a hike on any one of Vancouver's many challenging trails, walk across the 230-foot-high Capilano Suspension Bridge or just chill and relax at English Bay Beach or Kits Beach. Stanley Park is also a fun spot for visitors to bike or walk in.
The stunning views you'll see all over Vancouver will have you planning a trip to return in no time.
Calgary
Typically, when you think of Calgary, you think of winter sports. And while that is certainly true, the city is still a fun spot to explore during the summer.
It's home to the Calgary Stampede, also known as The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. The event kicks off on July 6 and it pays homage to the Wild West with rodeos, races and concerts.
Given that Calgary is located between the Canadian Rockies and the Canadian Prairies, there are also plenty of outdoor activities to keep people of all ages having a good time.
Canada doesn't have to be synonymous with cold-weather activities. It's a splendid destination for summertime fun.
Fly to Canada with Air Canada from major cities in the U.S. like Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.
