Om! A Yoga Room At an Airport? O'Hare Has It

STRIKE A POSE: Just so you have photographic proof, here's the O'Hare yoga room.
As Chicago O’Hare International Airport begins the busy, hectic holiday season, it wants frazzled travelers to relax and realign their chakras.
The airport just opened a yoga room — complete with bamboo floors, frosted windows, mats, green plants and soothing sounds. A video monitor shows exercise techniques and nature scenes. The 15-by-16-foot yoga room is on the mezzanine level of the Terminal 3 rotunda — right next to another unusual airport feature, the urban garden.
The yoga room is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. And it might get good use, especially today, which is expected to be the busiest travel day of the holiday season, with 209,000 passengers passing through.
All told, the Chicago Department of Aviation anticipates more than 4 million passengers will travel through O’Hare and Midway airports from today through Jan. 6.
