Amtrak is offering travelers a chance to bring a companion
for free when booking a first-class roomette through its limited-time Twice as
Nice Sale.
According to the rail company, the promotion applies to
eligible long-distance train trips between November 1, 2026, and January 31,
2027, allowing passengers to experience overnight rail travel with a friend or
family member.
Travelers must book by October 31 to qualify. Both
passengers must travel on the same itinerary, share the same accommodation, and
have their tickets issued together.
The promotion is subject to availability and other
restrictions.
The offer includes a private roomette with two seats that
convert into beds, an oversized window, linens, pillows and towels. Passengers
also receive complimentary meal service, access to restrooms and showers, a
dedicated room attendant, and priority boarding.
Eligible bookings also include access to Metropolitan
Lounges at major Amtrak stations, providing travelers with additional amenities
before boarding. The offer is available on most long-distance Amtrak routes,
except the southbound Auto Train (Train 53).
Blackout dates apply during portions of the Thanksgiving and
Christmas holiday periods. The promotion is not valid for reservations booked
with Amtrak Guest Rewards points or Points & Cash, and it cannot be
combined with other discounts.
