Enterprise Holdings Inc. announced that the company had produced double-digit growth across several business lines, grew total revenues and increased overall fleet size during the 2015 fiscal year.
Through Enterprise's regional subsidiaries and the company's fleet management, the car rental industry giant grew its total revenues by 8.8 percent to $19.4 billion. In addition, Enterprise's overall fleet grew to more than 1.7 million vehicles.
Enterprise Holdings also owns Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands, and the brands helped the company expand its airport market share in the United States, as well as strengthen its car rental and car sharing neighborhood networks.
Not only has Enterprise's business in the United States improved over the last year, but the company also reacquired the rights to operate the National and Alamo brands throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Enterprise also added new franchises in Albania, Costa Rica, Denmark, Estonia, Guatemala, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Nicaragua, Norway, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Sweden.
Enterprise Holdings President and Chief Executive Officer Pamela M. Nicholson released a statement about the 2015 fiscal year, saying, "This past fiscal year was remarkable in that we were able to capitalize on new market opportunities both at the local and global level, all the while maintaining high marks in customer service. Today, with operations in more than 70 countries, we're able to fully leverage our diverse portfolio of car rental brands globally. Our expansion strategy likewise enables us to provide affordable and accessible ground transportation options to more and more consumers throughout the world."
One of the areas in which Enterprise thrived was in the United States airport car rental revenue sector, climbing more than 10 percent. The company now accounts for nearly 36 percent of airport market share in America.
Enterprise Holdings and its affiliates and subsidiaries also employ around 91,000 people worldwide. The company has over 9,000 fully staffed Enterprise, National and Alamo locations across the world.
