As Switzerland continues to grow in demand, Rail Europe has expanded its Swiss collection with an eclectic range of mountain excursions, which are now available for travel advisors to sell.
The excursions and experiences are well-suited for “long-haul travelers looking for experience-driven itineraries,” Rail Europe said.
“For many agencies, mountain peaks have increasingly become part of the core trip rather than an optional add-on, especially for travelers visiting Switzerland for the first time,” the company added.
Sample excursions include Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe, featuring Europe’s highest railway station and views of the Aletsch Glacier; Matterhorn Glacier Paradise in Zermatt, known for its mountain station and viewing platform; Mount Pilatus, accessible via cogwheel railway from Alpnachstad; Mount Titlis, with its rotating cable car and Cliff Walk; and Gornergrat, offering open-air train rides with Matterhorn views.
“We’ve been seeing more and more requests from partners wanting to book everything in one place – Swiss rail passes, point-to-point journeys and mountain excursions together,” said Rail Europe Chief Commercial Officer Florence Pasquier.
“These experiences are some of the most iconic parts of traveling in Switzerland, so bringing them into our existing distribution ecosystem felt like a natural next step.”
The Swiss excursions and experiences offer both full-fare and discounted options, allowing Swiss Travel Pass and Swiss Half Fare Card holders to save on select products.
“Products are available across all Rail Europe markets without geographic restrictions,” Rail Europe said.
