Insurtech startup Pablow, Inc. announced Wednesday it is working with Allianz Global Assistance USA to offer traveler car rental protection.
Starting immediately, the Allianz Global Assistance Car Rental Damage Protector will be available on the P'teet website. The Pablow founders launched the United States-based site after successfully launching the same business model in Australia and New Zealand.
Pteet.com compares daily and annual rental car damage insurance products, giving travelers affordable and reliable options. As part of the partnership, P'teet will offer renters a comparison of Allianz Global Assistance's daily and annual Rental Car Damage Protector plans side-by-side.
"Rental Car Damage Protector from Allianz Global Assistance offers consumers both great coverage and service," Allianz Global Assistance USA Director of Communications Daniel Durazo said in a statement. "We're proud to partner with Pablow to offer our outstanding rental car insurance products to consumers."
Pablow is entering a U.S. car rental insurance market that boasts about 110 million reservations made by 70 million customers each year, with travelers spending about $28 billion.
"Millions of renters each year pay more than they have to at the rental car pickup counter," Pablow co-founder Steve Sherlock said in a statement. "We are able to offer primary insurance covering up to $45,000 in damage, starting at just $9 a day. Additionally, the policy carries a $0 deductible, meaning the renter doesn't have to claim on their auto insurance policy, pay a hefty deductible, or risk potential premium hikes."
