Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Radiance has returned to Long Beach following a 15-day dry dock.
The renovations took place at the Seaspan shipyard in Victoria, Canada, where the ship underwent a series of updates to its public spaces.
Guests boarding the ship Sunday, October 3, were the first to see the enhancements, which include a renewed Effy jewelry boutique and refreshed guest areas throughout the ship’s interior and open decks.
Carnival Radiance also returned to service with Carnival Cruise Line’s new “From Sea to Shining Sea” bow crest. The design is intended to reflect the cruise line’s American identity as part of its positioning as America’s Cruise Line.
With the work complete, Carnival Radiance has resumed year-round sailings from Long Beach. The ship offers four- and five-day cruises to Baja Mexico and the Mexican Riviera, with ports of call including Ensenada and Catalina Island. It also operates select 14-day Carnival Journeys sailings to Hawaii.
The ship’s return adds another recently refreshed option for travelers sailing from Southern California, one of Carnival’s key homeports on the West Coast.
