Holland America Line is sending its ship Westerdam to Asia in 2025 and 2026, giving cruisers an opportunity to explore ports in Japan, South Korea, Singapore and beyond.
Westerdam’s season in Asia begins September 2025 and will last through April 2026. During that time, the vessel will stop at 51 ports in 11 countries—including 24 ports in Japan. Travelers can choose between 10 itineraries in Asia, plus two Pacific Ocean crossings.
The cruise line’s Westerdam itineraries will include overnight stays and late departures so that guests have extra time to explore the region’s nightlife and cuisine. Travelers will also be able to taste local ingredients on board—like Japanese rockfish or Indonesian rambutan—through the cruise line’s global fresh fish program.
The sailings kick off in September 2025, when Westerdam departs Seattle for Yokohama, Japan. From there, the ship will offer an array of 13-, 14- and 15-day itineraries in Japan, South Korea, China, the Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia.
Travelers can also book back-to-back cruises, called “Collectors’ Voyages,” for a total of up to 29 days spent exploring Asia.
