The Pearl-Qatar

Al Zubarah Fort
Step into the past at the Al Zubarah Fort. This UNESCO World Heritage site was restored and is a great representation of a true 18th-19th-century settlement for this region. Al Zubarah was once a bustling trading town thanks to its prime location next to the Persian Gulf.

Khor Al Adaid
A true beauty, Khor Al Adaid is also known as Qatar's 'Inland Sea.'
It's a UNESCO recognized natural reserve with its own ecosystem. This natural wonder is one of a few places on Earth where the sea flows deep into the desert, which is why it's such a popular place. While visiting, travelers may spot Arabian gazelles, turtles and rare birds flying by or nesting on islets.
Adventure Excursions
Qatar is an excellent location for adventure travel enthusiasts.
Ride a 4x4, dune buggy, quad bike or camel through the desert for a fun-filled day. Some tour companies even offer overnight excursions in the desert, setting up Bedouin-style camps for shelter.
Other adventurous attractions in Qatar include watching camel racing at the Al Shahaniya track, Arabian horse racing at the Al Shaqab centre and taking part in an authentic Dhow cruise, where you will board a traditionally-shaped Qatari wooden vessel for some incredible views.
