Millennials are traveling with children in record numbers.
According to Resonance Consultancy's new 2018 Future of Millennial Travel Report, analysts found that of the more than 1,500 survey respondents, 58 percent of millennials in America who traveled overnight last year have children less than 18 years of age in the household.
Taking it a step further, 44 percent of the United States millennials with children are traveling with them.
"Once kids enter the picture, U.S. Millennial parents continue to travel," Resonance Consultancy president Chris Fair said in a statement. "In fact, our research shows that in the next two years, close to half of Millennial travelers plan to take family vacations."

"Family travel is the most popular type of vacation among this travel segment. Given that U.S. Millennials will spend $200 billion in 2018 alone, this is a massive opportunity for destinations and travel operators."
As for where the millennials with children are traveling, research shows that 41 percent of them are visiting beach resorts. Another 36 percent of millennial families are choosing major metropolitan cities as their primary destinations.
Millennials and their children are also going international, with more than a quarter of survey respondents choosing to vacation overseas.
