Or take a rain check and head to the Frost Science Museum nearby. Catch a show at the 250-seat Planetarium, that uses 16-million-color 8K projection, surround sound and a larger-than-life dome screen to take you on an outer space journey.
The fun doesn't stop there, either. At the Stanton South Beach, one of the only properties on Ocean Drive with direct beach access, guests can take advantage of new and improved amenities, thanks to a $22 million renovation. Schedule an ocean-inspired treatment at the new Stanton Spa; the hot seashell massage is a fan favorite that will leave you relaxed and refreshed.
Or head over to the new fitness center to get a quick work out in. With all new machines including a Peloton bike, guests can work on their fitness and forget all about the gloomy weather. Work up an appetite because there are two on-property dining options you're sure to love.
There's fresh Mexican fare at Lolo's Surf Cantina and authentic, high-end Japanese cuisine at the new Azabu Miami Beach (call to reserve a seat in the back room, an intimate prix fixe izakaya with chefs here all the way from Tokyo). This resort offers so many options there's no need to go out and get wet.
Last, but definitely not least-maybe the most fun rained-in activity of all-why not brush up on your cooking skills with a class at the Real Food Academy in Miami Shores? Doesn't matter how much of a beginner you are, either. The Real Food Academy offers classes for kids, adults, schools and businesses-and you can bet you'll be trying your hand at mouthwatering dishes like baked avocado fries, egg frittatas and healthy coconut macaroons.
It may be storming outside, but at least your belly will be satisfied. And the best part about it is that, when you don't feel like going anywhere, you'll be able to recreate these dishes at home.
