The Super Bowl is coming to Nashville, Tennessee, for the first time in 2030.

The official announcement came from the NFL Spring League Meeting in Orlando on Tuesday, following a review of the proposal by the NFL’s Fan Engagement & Major Events Committee and a vote by full ownership.

"Hosting the Super Bowl is a defining moment for Nashville and Tennessee and reflects years of work to build Music City into a globally recognized destination for music, entertainment, and live events," Deana Ivey, Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp, president & CEO, said in a statement.

"This event is an incredible opportunity to showcase the dynamic and creative character of Nashville to a global audience and to deliver a Super Bowl experience that is distinctly Music City, where music, sports, culture, and hospitality come together in a way few cities can match," added Ivey. "We are grateful to the NFL for the confidence they have placed in our community. Nashville has earned a reputation for hosting major events at the highest level, and we are ready to welcome the world."

The news comes amid construction on a brand new Nissan Stadium on the Cumberland River. The highly anticipated venue and new home of the NFL's Tennessee Titans is slated to open in 2027.

Nashville joins a growing list of cities to be awarded the Big Game after opening a new stadium. The Super Bowl will return to Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium in 2027, before heading to Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium in 2028.

Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium was approved for its second hosting duties in 2029.

All three venues are less than 10 years old, with SoFi and Allegiant opening in 2020.

Securing Super Bowl LXIV is the logical next step in Music City's emergence as one of the country's premier tourist destinations. Nashville has seen tremendous population growth in recent years and is drawing travelers from around the globe with one-of-a-kind attractions like its Broadway honky-tonks as well as new hotel, resort, bar and restaurant offerings.
