The Nevis Tourism
Authority (NTA) is expanding its commitment to the U.S. travel trade this fall
with an extensive schedule of events and activations across the Northeast
corridor.
The initiatives are designed to strengthen Nevis’ relationships with travel
advisors and highlight the destination’s status as a boutique luxury option.
Underscoring NTA’s
long-term investment in trade partnerships, the organization will host and
attend more than a dozen travel agent association meetings, tradeshows, and
sales blitzes across major Northeast markets including New York, New Jersey,
Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
Upcoming
highlights include:
- ASTA Northern New England (Maine and
New Hampshire) Tradeshow – Portland, Maine (October 15)
- ASTA New England Tradeshow – Boston,
MA (October 16)
- ASTA Central PA Symposium –
Tannersville, PA (October 19–21)
- ASTA Maryland Tradeshow – Baltimore,
MD (October 22)
- AWTA (Alliance of Westchester Travel
Agents) Annual Tradeshow – New Rochelle, NY (October 27)
The fall schedule
also serves as a lead-up to the joint Nevis & St. Kitts Travel Agent
Roadshow planned for Q1 2026.
Travel advisors continue
to rank among the most trusted sources for travelers seeking curated and
high-value experiences. The use of travel advisors continues to grow according
to insights shared during Virtuoso Travel Week 2025, with a 76 percent increase in the
number of people seeking out a Virtuoso advisor this year, and 95 percent of clients
saying they would recommend an advisor to a friend.
Luxury travelers,
in particular, remain reliant on advisors for their unique expertise and
access, underscoring the importance of NTA’s investment in this channel.
“These events
provide the NTA with valuable opportunities to showcase Nevis’ barefoot luxury,
sustainability initiatives, and unique selling points to advisors in key feeder
markets,” said Pheon Jones, NTA’s director of sales and marketing. “By building
stronger connections with the travel trade, we’re ensuring Nevis remains
top-of-mind for advisors and their clients seeking authentic, high-end
Caribbean experiences."
