Argentina might just be the fine dining capital of the world, depending on who you ask.
At least Tripadvisor users seem to agree that's the case. The travel platform announced the winners of its Travelers' Choice Awards: Best of the Best Restaurants for 2026 this week, revealing a top 10 dominated by the South American country.
Buenos Aires boasts two of the world's top 10 fine dining restaurants this year, including top-ranked Fogón Asado, which wows visitors with a unique and interactive asado tasting experience, reimagining traditional Argentine barbecue while pairing an elevated multi-course dinner with local wines.
Elsewhere in Buenos Aires, El Mercado steakhouse rounds out Tripadvisor's top 10 list.

Across the country in Guaymallen, Abrasado ranks sixth with an impressive 4.9 rating out of nearly 5,000 Tripadvisor reviews, many of which consider it a can't-miss eatery for meat lovers.
South America is also represented by Catherine Gramado in Gramado, Brazil, while North America picked up a pair of wins from Mexico, with Careyes restaurant in Cancun and San Jose del Cabo's Acre each making the top 10 globally.

Domestically, it's the South that's churning out the most mouthwatering fine dining sites in 2026, led by the authentic Italian cuisine at Ristorante Paoletti in Highlands, North Carolina.
Over the state line in Hilton Head, Michael Anthony's Cucina Italiana ranks second, followed by a pair of Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina locations in New York City and Nashville. It would appear that Tripadvisor users love a great steakhouse experience.

The southern U.S. is also represented in the top 10 by Hakkasan Miami in Miami Beach, Beach Walk at Henderson Park Inn in Destin, Florida, Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse in Lake Charles, Louisiana and Louisville's Swizzle Dinner & Drinks.
Meanwhile, Brenner's on the River Walk in San Antonio, Texas, checks in at number eight this year.
