Luxury travelers are gearing up for summer travel, and in the spirit of the season, Virtuoso has examined its data warehouse to forecast where upscale voyagers are heading this summer.
European countries are among the most popular destinations for travelers undertaking an international trip, and those seeking emerging destinations are booking culturally immersive experiences, according to Virtuoso's data.

As did other research, Virtuoso found that U.S. travelers are looking to stay closer to home this summer. Pushing the U.S. to the top of the list.
Virtuoso's "Hot 10" looks at countries that have experienced the largest year-over-year percentage for summer bookings, and found that Chile continues to enjoy an upswing in popularity with its varied terrain that includes the Lake District, the Atacama Desert and Patagonia.
