As we've written before, Colombia is enjoying a tourism revival. So, it's no surprise to see Gavin Haines' talk about why travelers should head to the country on their next holiday in the Telegraph.
Haines gives 21 reasons why people should start adding Colombia to their travel plans and among them are that tourism is booming in the country.
"The capital remains rough around the edges - the old town is not a place to be wandering around at night - but these are exciting times for this resurgent city," writes Haines. "New restaurants, boutique hotels and craft breweries are springing up across Bogota, as local entrepreneurs capitalise on the country's newfound peace. Meanwhile, the city's tour guides offer edgy sightseeing excursions on bike and foot, which cover everything from architecture to politics."
The country is also a hub for street art, which was decriminalized in Bogota in 2011.

Bogota's decision to decriminalise graffiti in 2011 marked a creative new epoch for the city, whose flyovers, office blocks and municipal walls became canvases for some of the world's best-loved street artists.
