Airbnb announced Wednesday its partnership with mobile app Resy to allow its guests to make fast and easy restaurant reservations from the Airbnb app.
The brand new feature has already launched in New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Miami, Charleston, Austin, Seattle, Hamptons, Denver, Portland, Raleigh/Durham, Atlanta, New Orleans, Nashville and Napa.
It currently includes nearly 650 restaurants curated by Resy, which carefully selects restaurants based on quality. Options will include local favorites and award-winning destinations.
San Francisco's Petit Crenn, Bateau in Seattle and Thip Khao in Washington, D.C. are among the notable inclusions.
Users can access the available restaurants via the "Restaurants" tab on the Airbnb website or the app. From there, hungry travelers can search by cuisine type, meal type, time of day or access a map view to find a restaurant nearby.

Citing a Harris Poll consumer survey, Airbnb revealed that two-thirds of Americans make restaurant reservations while away from home and most do so via phone rather than online. The home-sharing platform's restaurant spending report also found that Airbnb guests spent $6.5 billion at restaurants in 44 different markets around the world over the last year.
So clearly, there's demand for the new integration.
Looking ahead, Airbnb said its working on developing translations within the app to make navigation easier for cross-language users.
In addition to expanding the service to international destinations, Airbnb hopes to introduce new dining options like exclusive tables for users and social dining experiences where guests can eat with other Airbnb travelers.
