Agent to Agent: When Should I Book Holiday Travel?

Dear Tammy: It looks like October is the time when most people start booking their travel plans for the Christmas Holiday Season. Is there a time that’s considered to be the best time to book holiday Christmas travel?
Tammy: Yes, you're correct. Most Christmas holiday travelers tend to start booking their holiday travel plans around October. But current travel trends tell us that this is no longer the case. Know that following travel trends is always a great idea because you can really keep up on the newest and best travel trends, which is really going to help make you a more informed and thus a more successful travel agent.
While making Christmas travel plans in October used to be the norm, not every Christmas holiday traveler is going to get exactly what they want when waiting until October to make their holiday traveling plans. This is mostly because so many more people are looking to travel nowadays over the holiday season, which is a traveling trend that has been going on for a few years now.
Booking a Christmas holiday trip as early as possible is now always suggested for travelers because it not only saves them money, it also makes it so they don’t have to worry about not getting the perfect holiday Christmas travel plan. Travel costs will definitely begin to increase once the Christmas holiday season starts to approach, which is right around October.
Remind Your Clients
Calling your clients to book their Holiday Christmas travel plans during the summer, even sooner! can be a great idea. It’s so easy for people to get caught up in everyday life that they can forget to book their travels until the last minute, which means that they probably won’t be able to get exactly what they want.
Sending a reminder to clients about what’s happening in the travel world every so often is a great idea, as this keeps them on top of any travel trends currently taking place. This can be done through e-mail programs or sending out regularly scheduled newsletters, which don’t take a lot of time to create and can be extremely beneficial for educating clients.
Hottest Year in Travel!
Because this year so far has been proving to be one of the hottest years in travel, travel agents are already predicting that more travelers than ever are going to be booking their holiday Christmas travel plans early this year. This trend makes it essential for you to not delay, so follow up with all of your clients and book them now!
