San Antonio is one of the most visited cities in Texas and one of the fastest-growing destinations in the U.S., welcoming more than 30 million people per year. And this summer, a host of new attractions are making the Alamo City a destination hot spot, especially for families.
With the launch of its new Go City Card San Antonio pass, travelers planning a visit can take in the summer's best new attractions even easier - and cheaper - saving as much as 40 percent on the city's most popular amusement parks and sightseeing destinations.
"As the state's top tourism destination, San Antonio presents an incredible diversity of offerings for every visitor, from history to arts and culture to family attractions," said Casandra Matej, executive director of the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau. "The Go San Antonio Card is a wonderful way to make each visit to the city an even more pleasurable, affordable experience."

Here are some ideas that are sure to keep the whole clan entertained on summer vacation.
New rides at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The Fiesta Bay Boardwalk has three new rides to loop, spin and soar around the park. Fireball is a massive seven-story "looping frenzy. Hurricane Force 5 puts riders in the center of a storm where they swirl around, soaring high into the air, and Spinsanity is a whirling adventure for the daredevil rider.
Discover a hidden Maya world. The Witte Museum is holding its largest exhibition to be held in San Antonio. "Maya: Hidden Worlds Revealed" is the first exhibition at the museums' new Mays Family Center, with hundreds of artifacts in several immersive, hands-on environments.

A one-of-a-kind Ferris wheel. Morgan's Wonderland is one of the world's first theme parks for special-needs individuals and it has unveiled its new Whirling Wonder Ferris wheel in time for the summer season. The more-than-five-story ride is located on the shore of the park's catch-and-release fishing lake and can accommodate every guest.
Sea World's new Discovery Point. This new attraction is the only interactive dolphin experience in Texas and is the largest single capital investment in the park's 27-year history. It doubled the size of the dolphin habitat, which now provides guests with a lush, tropical setting as well as the opportunity to swim with dolphins and watch them interact and play in a new underwater viewing area.
The Alamo comes to life. The "Battle for Texas: The Experience" is a 22,000-square-foot "edutainment" adventure in the Shops at Rivercenter. It features more than 250 never-before-seen Alamo artifacts and multimedia reenactments of the 13-day battle.
