Travel Leaders Honored for Marketing Campaign

Travel Leaders Group has been rewarded for its hard work on the #MyRoyalAdventure campaign.

The group took top honors in the recent Digital Travel Choice Awards for Best Digital Marketing Campaign from a Travel Retailer, which took place at the recent Digital Travel Summit, held in Las Vegas, Nevada, earlier this month.

The online campaign was launched in partnership with Royal Caribbean International and included the creation of a social content hub, MyRoyalAdventure.com, that aggregated Royal Caribbean cruise guests' user-generated content with the objective of driving leads to Travel Leaders travel agents.

Travel Leaders and Royal Caribbean International used a combination of Facebook ad re-targeting, look-a-likes and conversion optimization ads from social media platforms to create the successful campaign, and the new hub showcases a cross-section of original posts and photography from Royal Caribbean cruisers while also driving sales leads to travel advisors.

"We are extremely honored to have received this award for the #MyRoyalAdventure campaign, which not only achieved our business objectives but also brought a lot of fun and joy to Royal Caribbean fans who were able to see their vacation posts and photography highlighted," said Stephen McGillivray, chief marketing and communications officer for Travel Leaders Group.

"Consumers love to capture and share images while on vacation and this campaign was a great way to tap into that while connecting travelers to highly experienced, professional travel agents," added McGillivray.

Joanne Schimelman, vice president of sales and national accounts for Royal Caribbean International, referred to the campaign as "innovative" and "dynamic."

"We are thrilled to have collaborated on this innovative and dynamic social platform with Travel Leaders Group," said Schimelman. "The #MyRoyalAdventure campaign has brilliantly enabled the Royal Caribbean story to be authentically shared through our mutual guests."

This was the first year that the Digital Travel Summit has featured an awards ceremony as part of its annual event. The summit is an annual digital marketing, e-commerce strategy and customer engagement event for travel, hospitality and leisure companies that focus on helping travel industry retailers fully harness digital strategies and technology.
