Juan Albarran Marquez has built his travel career around making the world feel accessible to everyone. An immigrant who recently became a U.S. citizen, he brings a unique perspective to his work as a travel advisor with Ocean & River Sailings. He is especially passionate about introducing travel and cruising to Spanish-speaking travelers who are often underserved by the industry.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Juan is relentlessly dedicated to his clients, routinely going above and beyond to solve problems and create memorable experiences. His firsthand global travel experience, industry expertise, and commitment to inclusive service make him a rising leader in travel.
His innovative work has earned recognition from Travel Weekly Magellan Awards for sales innovation, while his efforts to reach and educate Spanish-speaking travelers have been honored with Communicator Awards.
Rather than competing for the same customers in the same places, he looks for opportunities to introduce cruising and international travel to communities that may not regularly see themselves represented in travel advertising.
Albarran Marquez also believes travel should be a force for good. He regularly gives back by donating and supporting charitable organizations, including Miles4Migrants, whose mission is especially meaningful to him as an immigrant himself.
Whether he helps travelers discover the world professionally or volunteers his time to help others find safety and opportunity through travel, he brings the same compassion, generosity, and sense of purpose to everything he does.
