Explora Journeys has announced the upcoming Destination Experiences for EXPLORA I’s inaugural Caribbean season kicking off in November 2023.
The immersive experiences will connect travelers with nature, local cultures, and culinary delights while offering a new perspective. The experiences are tailored to intimate groups of between two and 25 guests.
Highlights will include stops in Virgin Gorda, including The Baths National Park and Gorda Peak National Park. Meanwhile, in Curacao, guests can look forward to a special U-boat submarine experience, taking in shipwrecks and marine life. Other Destination Experiences include an ecological adventure in Samana's Los Haitises National Park, an authentic Samaná Cigar and Casa Tipica tour and a dive into the Jacques Cousteau Underwater Reserve in Guadeloupe.
EXPLORA I, the first of a fleet of up to six luxury ships of Explora Journeys, will embark on her maiden journey on July 17, 2023, sailing from Southampton, U.K., for a 15-night sailing into the Norwegian Fjords and the Arctic Circle, completing her journey in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The ship's summer 2024 season begins on May 18, 2024, with a transatlantic crossing from Miami to Lisbon, Portugal. The unique collection of sailings will feature eight Mediterranean and four Northern European journeys and include stops in Saint-Tropez (France), Kuşadası (Turkey), Santorini (Greece), Paphos (Cyprus), and Svalbard and Honningsvag (Norway).
"Our June to September 2024 Mediterranean and Northern European sailings are designed to showcase not only the beauty but above all the rich diversity of these regions, providing an unforgettable journey for all who embark on these adventures," Sacha Rougier, Head of Itinerary Planning and Destination Experiences at Explora Journeys, said in a statement. "Our team has carefully crafted experiences in each destination that will enrich our guests and make each journey truly memorable.”
Amid strong demand, Explora Journeys also announced that it will extend the 2024-2025 Caribbean season, with EXPLORA I sailing the region from October 2024 until April 2025.
