The internet is laden with blogs about travel. You have too many Oscar after party invitations to go through. This column will allow you to sift through the schlock and get back to deciding if you want to go to that Maxim or Variety after party (here is a hint - Variety). Check us out on twitter at #travelblogoftheday.
There are many surveys and polls out there about what kind of experience tourists want to have when they travel. Most travelers say that they want to go where the locals go, eat where the locals eat, etc. Many people seek out travel blogs that are specific to their destination in order to find out as much as they can from that local bloggers view. Today we are going to Barcelona, Spain to check in with a blogger whose blog is all about being local.
Tourism with Me

Meritxell Garcia has lived almost all of her life in Barcelona. She is a big fan of Barcelona and Catalonia so that is exactly what she writes about. She likes culinary experiences and appreciates Spanish architecture, as well as history, legends and discovering hidden new places right in her home town.
Meritxell categorically breaks down Barcelona by accommodations, cafes, restaurants, spas, tours and what to do. She also has separate sections for Catalonia as well as the other countries she has been to like Thailand, Budapest, etc. One of my favorite parts of any overseas blogger is their posts on experiences here in our country and Meritxell has some of those, too.
So whether or not you are going to Barcelona / Catelonia or not, take some time out of your day to get caught up in Tourism with Me. It will definitely be worth the read.
