River cruising is very exciting for my Gen-X clients right now, and the Danube is leading the way. With Budapest, Hungary, as the anchor, these itineraries deliver "wow" arrival or departure moments. Then, the rest of the river allows travelers to slow down and experience smaller towns easily missed during a traditional land trip. A blend of ease, luxury and depth of experience is what these clients crave. They can cycle through the Wachau Valley between vineyards, taste Austrian wines in places such as Dürnstein or Weissenkirchen, and pair iconic cities like Vienna and Budapest with more intimate cultural stops along the river. Gen Xers want beautiful accommodations and seamless logistics, but they also want to feel active and connected to the destination. The Danube delivers that balance beautifully.

Currently, hosted group experiences are driving a lot of excitement with my clients. They’re looking for more than a trip — they want something curated, social and memorable. My hosted experiences are built around connection and authentic moments, whether that’s a wine train in Napa, California; a private group excursion in the Caribbean; or an adults-only cruise through Europe. Having a dedicated host and a built-in community takes the pressure off planning and gives clients something they can genuinely look forward to.

Another trend I’m seeing is adults-only, high-energy group travel. Millennials in particular want trips that feel like a vibe, not just a vacation. Think: themed dinners, yacht days and destinations that balance relaxation with unforgettable experiences.

Right now, alternative safaris are really having a moment with clients — from Galapagos expedition cruises and gorilla trekking in Rwanda to tiger safaris in India and polar bear expeditions. These kinds of trips are similar to an African safari in their exclusivity and immersion, while still maintaining that strong focus on animals and nature. We are also doing more African safaris for clients over the next couple of years than before, so don’t assume the traditional safari is going away. Our clients seem more excited than ever to explore less-discovered parts of the world and the wildlife that inhabits them. I’d recommend following up with your safari clients six months after they get home to pitch the next safari they’ve never heard of!

Greece is unequivocally my clients’ most desired destination this year. Typically, I see a spread of bookings worldwide that include up-and-coming destinations (such as Japan over the past two years). I also see an array of unique destinations that people want to experience, such as Morocco. These outliers create a balance in my book of business that has not happened as much this year. So far in 2026, roughly one in every three clients has asked about or booked a Greece vacation with me. The intrigue of the islands and mainland, the quaint luxury hotel locations, the excitement of yacht days and the unrivaled sunshine — not to mention the ancient history and exquisite cuisine — make the region an ideal vacation destination for clients.
