TripAdvisor has revealed the world's top carriers, utilizing an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of airline reviews and ratings submitted by travelers around the world over a 12-month period from February 2017 to February 2018 on TripAdvisor Flights. The Travelers' Choice Awards recognize the airlines that provide the best quality, service and value.

10. Korean Air

One of four Asian carriers to crack the top 10 this year, Korean Air is routinely recognized for its friendly staff and a basic economy class that is far from basic. It also launched a frequent flyer program for pets last year.

Brazilian airline Azul was the only South American carrier to make the top 10 but has won over travelers with its airplane shaped gummy bears and efficiency, according to at least one TripAdvisor reviewer.
