Described as Mardi Gras with an Eastern European flair,
Cleveland's annual Kurentovanje is a Slovenian festival that celebrates the impending end of winter and arrival of spring with traditional masks, costumes, food, drinks and dancing. The main festival takes place February 10, but the fun begins much earlier in the days leading up.
On March 17, Downtown Cleveland also hosts the more well-known St. Patrick's Day Parade.
