Lollapalooza

Lollapalooza takes over nearly every corner of the world each year, including Chicago's Grant Park every summer.

While the 2018 lineup will be revealed later this year, the four-day festival (August 2-5) is certain to live up to the hype as it routinely attracts the biggest acts and most passionate fans in music. Last year's lineup featured the likes of Chance the Rapper, Arcade Fire, Lorde and Blink-182, among others.

Bonnaroo

Nashville may be the Music City but nearby Manchester, Tennessee is where you'll find the biggest stars and best sounds during the second weekend in June (7-10). The 2018 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival will feature four days of booming jam sessions, including performances by Eminem, The Killers, Muse, Sturgill Simpson and Future.

Convenient shuttle service to the festival grounds is also available for attendees staying in Nashville.

The Governors Ball

New York City will come together to celebrate three straight days of ear-pleasing sounds June 1-3 in a music festival known as The Governors Ball. Taking place at Randall's Island Park, this year's event will feature Jack White, Eminem and a trio of emerging hitmakers in Halsey, Khalid and Post Malone.

South by Southwest

Coachella

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has come to be known simply as Coachella as a result of lineups so loaded they require two consecutive weekends (April 13-15 and April 20-22) in the Southern California desert to be fully appreciated.

In 2018, ticketholders will be treated to performances from The Weeknd, Beyonce, Eminem and dozens of other recognizable names and faces along with up-and-coming acts who hope to headline future festivals.

Outside Lands

A massive three-day festival taking place in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, Outside Lands combines the best in music with delicious food and wine as well numerous other entertainment acts, including magic and comedy shows.

Metallica, The Who and Gorillaz headlined the August event a year ago.

Ultra Music Festival

As if you needed a reason to visit Miami at the start of spring, the 2018 Ultra Music Festival has crammed the planet's most successful electronic music acts into three days. Attendees arriving at Miami's Bayfront Park March 23-25 can look forward to performances by The Chainsmokers, David Guetta, Afrojack and DJ Snake, among other notable entertainers.

Firefly Music Festival

All eyes turn to The Woodlands of Delaware's Dover International Speedway in mid-June when the 105-acre festival ground becomes the site of a four-day jubilee dubbed Firefly Music Festival. Eminem, Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, The Killers and others are scheduled to perform at this year's festival, which will take place June 14-17.

Sasquatch! Music Festival

The Pacific Northwest's Sasquatch! Music Festival takes place two hours southeast of Seattle in George, Washington. Located near the Columbia River, the outdoor Gorge Amphitheatre is without a doubt one of the country's most scenic concert venues.

This year's event will take place Memorial Day Weekend (May 25-27). Twenty One Pilots, Frank Ocean and Chance the Rapper headlined last year's festival.

Pitchfork Music Festival

The Pitchfork Music Festival runs from July 20-22 in Chicago's Union Park and won't break the bank for travelers on a budget as a three-day pass can be purchased for as little as $175. Last year's summer event featured LCD Soundsystem, A Tribe Called Quest and Solange.
