Fourth of July Weekend is fast approaching and many will use the holiday as an opportunity to make up for the lost time in 2020 and travel somewhere warm and sunny like Mexico and the Caribbean. Independence Day is also a great time to save big on travel, however, as some of the top hotel and resort companies are offering epic discounts and packages ahead of the holiday this summer. Here's a look at some of the top deals available this July 4th.

La Coleccion Resorts' latest sale features discounts up to 60 percent off of new reservations at properties in the Caribbean, Mexico and recently-reopened Spain. The special Summer Wanderlust Sale includes complimentary roundtrip airport transfers and a daily resort credit of $50 per room. Travelers have until August 31, 2021, to book for travel between now and December 31, 2021. Rates start at just $197 per night, based on double occupancy. Meanwhile, families stand to save even more as La Coleccion inviting the first child free of charge and applying a 50 percent discount for each additional child. Guests can also look forward to free cancellation and convenient on-site antigen testing.

RIU Hotels & Resorts' Summer Sale features savings of up to 57 percent on all-Inclusive beachfront hotels in Mexico, the Caribbean and even Central America. Flexibility and perks include kids stay free at select properties, free on-site antigen tests and up to $2,150 in resort credits as well as a sixth passenger free for groups, free weddings and no single supplement and cancellation fees.

During its Independence Day Sale, Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts is offering up to 50 percent off bookings for the brand's all-inclusive properties in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Mexico's Riviera Maya region. Travelers are required to book online by Monday, June 28 for travel now through October 7, 2021. Right now, travelers can book the all-inclusive family-friendly Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana from as low as $78 per person, per night.
