'Falling Asleep' at Bellagio Resort & Casino

MGM Resorts International's Bellagio Resort and Casino is overflowing with world-class amenities and entertainment offerings but none capture the essence of the current season quite like the hotel's ever-changing Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.

The 14,000-square-foot space is redesigned for every incoming season and is maintained by a horticulture staff of 120. Conservatory season kicks off with Chinese New Year and continues through the holiday season. Incredibly, 90 percent of the trees, flowers and plants used are recycled at the end of each season.

The conservatory debuted its highly anticipated harvest showcase September 15. The "Falling Asleep" theme is inspired by the mythology of the goddess of harvest and will continue through Thanksgiving weekend.

The garden's north bed features a pair of stunning 10-foot-tall tigers, each of which is decorated with more than 290 pounds of seeds.

The west garden bed is where visitors will encounter the giant sleeping goddess. The impressive design, which is comprised of many natural materials such as Hydrangeas and Oak leaves, stands a whopping 38 feet in height and measures in at 28 feet in length.
