Following is a rundown of several different properties that enable travelers to have full say over their vacation stays through full-property buyouts.

Casa de Campo Resort & Villas

All elements of the 7,000-acre property available for buyouts, including golf courses; the model 16th century Mediterranean village and its villas; conference, events and meetings spaces; the new Marina Riverside Center's restaurants and bars; and the Mediterranean style plaza, a 5,000-seat amphitheater.

The resort features gourmet cuisine, a marina, equestrian club, tennis center and shooting club.

Casa de Campo Resorts & Villas is set on the Dominican Republic's southeastern coast.

Anchorage 1770

"Anchorage 1770 in Beaufort, S.C., Anchorage 1770 is an incredible historic 14-room waterfront inn located in a 250-year-old building that is made of tabby (oyster shells, lime and sand), and owned and run by the ever-hospitable Frank and Amy Lesesne, lovingly nicknamed the Insane Lesesnes," said Laura Madrid of Resort to Laura Madrid, a Travel Experts affiliate.

"Nine of the 14 rooms have water views, and the inn boasts 1,500 square feet of waterfront porches, which are great for cocktails with friends and family."

Applewood Manor Inn

Set in Asheville, N.C.'s Montford Historic District, the bed-and-breakfast-style boutique hotel is scheduled for a grand reopening in May 2021.

Its six suites are equipped with king-size Duxiana mattresses and Duxiana and Sferra, linens and blankets; Sferra robes and towels; L'Occitane bath products, Marshall Stockton II Bluetooth speakers; and Nespresso coffee makers; fine teas and homemade cookies.

All meals are prepared with locally sourced ingredients, and guests participate in such activities as cooking classes in the newly renovated kitchen.

Bora Bora One

The secluded, five-bedroom luxury villa is set on seven-and-a-half acres on a private peninsula on the French Polynesian island of Bora Bora.

A head butler will arrange bespoke one-of-a-kind itineraries and various activities on and off the property.

The property, which underwent a significant renovation, in March 2021, is located near the St. Regis and Four Seasons hotels and features a new gym, pavilion and tennis court.

Hacienda Petac

"Hacienda Petac is an incredibly gorgeous historic hacienda near Merida that's run like a villa and offers the highest level of services and luxuries - not the least of which is ample, private green space," said Ben Gritzewsky of Frosch.

Hacienda Petac features an indoor/outdoor resort-style spa and pool, and multiple terraces for lounging and dining.

"Each of the seven spacious bedroom suites was designed with attention to every detail."

Mandarin Oriental, Canouan

Mandarin Oriental, Canouan's full buyout includes the resort's accommodations, four restaurants and bar, spa and fitness center.

Located in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on the island of Canouan, the beachfront resort boasts 26 suites and 13 villas, five restaurants and a bar, a pool, a spa, a watersports center, tennis courts and a complimentary teen and children's club.

The resort team will work with clients to customize any buyout stay.

The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Bahamas

An exclusive buyout of The Ocean Club includes accommodations, which include 102 guestrooms, two Plunge Pool Villas and three Beach Front Villa Residences with three or four bedrooms; event space; dining outlets; and the spa.

The resort, which is set on 35 manicured acres, features three pools, three restaurants, the Martin Bar and Lounge and the 18-hole Tom Weiskopf-designed Ocean Club Golf Course.

The Point

The Point, which is set on Saranac Lake in New York's Adirondacks, "is the ideal place for a buyout," said Holly Lombardo of Holly Lombardo Travel, an affiliate of Travel Experts. "It is a charming Gilded Age camp that is rustic yet luxuriously comfortable.

"With just 11 cozy lake-side cabins, it's perfect for a family or small group of friends looking to reunite," she said. "The Point has a fleet of vintage boats to sail the lake which is a must!"

The Ranch

The Ranch, which focuses on fitness and wellness and is situated on 200 acres in Malibu, enables friends and family to customize their stays for a week or longer.

Buyouts include the resort's signature weeklong wellness programs, including hiking, fitness classes, yoga and massage - along with organic, plant-based cuisine. The resort will also create individually tailored wellness program for guests.

The Ranch's accommodations are appointed with reclaimed wood floors, limestone bathrooms, and linen-covered queen and king-sized beds.
