The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) Canada hosted eight travel advisors from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) on its recent ‘Meet Me in Mo Bay’ Weddings Familiarization (FAM) trip, held from June 11–17, 2025.
According to a press release, the initiative offered a first-hand look at Jamaica’s options for personalized destination weddings.“Jamaica is rapidly becoming a premier destination for couples seeking a wedding experience that goes beyond the traditional,” said Angella Bennett, Regional Director, Canada, Jamaica Tourist Board.
“The 'Meet Me in Mo Bay' FAM allowed our valued travel advisors to witness firsthand the incredible versatility and attention to detail that goes into creating a bespoke wedding on-island. We want to empower our travel advisors to help their clients envision and execute a celebration that is uniquely their own.”Advisors explored a wide range of properties, from luxury all-inclusives to private villas, gaining insight into how each venue could cater to different budgets and wedding styles. Stops included the Cliff Hotel in Negril, known for its oceanfront views, and Moon Palace in Ocho Rios, which offers expansive amenities and multiple event spaces. Advisors also visited the Wag Water Villa at Prospect Estate and Villas in Ocho Rios.More information: www.visitjamaica.com
