More American Airlines passengers will soon be able to access one of the carrier’s most exclusive lounge perks.
The carrier just announced that it will be expanding Flagship Dining, an upscale restaurant area inside some of its Flagship First lounges, to certain business class passengers, beginning on September 15.
Previously, only fliers in Flagship First cabins were able to avail themselves of the premium sit-down dining amenity.
As of September 15, passengers in Flagship Business on qualifying long-haul international, transcontinental and Hawaii Flagship routes can enjoy a lavish meal in the lounge restaurant.
Flagship Dining is available in Flagship Lounges at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Miami International Airport (MIA). American is also relaunching the service at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) sometime in late 2026.
Inside the dining areas, travelers can expect an elevated restaurant feel with modern design and seasonal four-course menus.
Alongside the expanded dining access, the carrier is launching a revamped Flagship Dining menu with dishes that highlight local flavors, like Texas pear and burrata salad, roasted purple cauliflower steak, mesquite-grilled beef filet, and churro bread pudding.
The new selections also include a red wine and chocolate pairing curated by Chef Thomas Keller, featuring his brands KHK Wines, K+M Extravirgin Chocolate, and K+M hazelnut dragées.
"At American, we're continually looking for ways to elevate the customer experience and create moments that make travel more memorable," said American’s SVP of Customer Experience and Design Rhonda Crawford.
"By expanding access to Flagship Dining and introducing new menu enhancements, including an exclusive wine and chocolate pairing from KHK Wines and K+M Extravirgin Chocolate curated by Chef Thomas Keller, we're delivering an even more elevated hospitality experience that begins well before customers step on board."
