American Airlines’ loyalty rewards program, AAdvantage, begins a new program year this March 1, and travelers taking flights in March can earn 500 bonus Loyalty Points for every flight they take, up to 5,000 Loyalty Points.
AAdvantage members can register for this promotion in their account, book a flight with the airline and complete their travel by the end of March to receive 500 extra Loyalty Points for each flight taken, including connections.
Loyalty Point Reward levels remain the same for 2025, but travelers will enjoy a redesigned AAdvantage Activity page online, which allows them to view their path to earning a higher status much easier.
In addition, those who want to redeem their points can do so in a few new ways, including receiving a personalized collectible luggage tag. Starting March 18, travelers will be able to purchase their onboard food and beverage on eligible flights with their miles.
Those with World of Hyatt accounts can also link their AAdvantage accounts and Hyatt accounts together to redeem hotel discounts and other benefits.
Frequent fliers will also have new Million Miler lifetime status levels: those who’ve flown 4 million miles will earn the lifetime Platinum Pro status, while those who’ve flown 5 million miles on American will enjoy lifetime Executive Platinum status.
